POST CB: Shhh I increased my rates and here's why

Let’s face it.
When demand is low (lesser people are going to get married in 2020 — thanks to Covid-19) and supply of service remains the same (same number of makeup artists in the industry), chances are, people will throw offer and start bringing down their rates.

TBH, I considered too.
This 2020 hasn’t been easy.

I do hope to increase the number of assignments and the fastest way to do it is to bring down your rates or do more giveaways.

But.
I cannot convince myself to do it.
I cannot because I am doing this full-time.
I cannot because I give a lot to my clients.
I cannot because I am now incurring a higher cost with all the safety measures I’ve done up or I’ve equipped myself with, the additional disposables tools that I am using and the additional items I’ve prepared to ensure a safe and clean environment for my clients.
At the same time, I am also limiting the no. of clients a day so that I do not become a common factor meeting too many different groups of people and risk being the “super-spreader”.
So, in gist, I can confidently say that i am doing so much more to protect my very few clients.

I believe the above reasons justify why I should increase my rates.

I seek my client’s understanding and trust in my efforts to keep you safe.

Meanwhile, stay safe!
